We are actively monitoring the situation regarding the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), including related guidance provided by local government and public health officials, and are following any protocols issued by governmental authorities and agencies in Sonora. We encourage all Owners and guests to refer to the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), or their local health authority for more information.
The health and safety measures that are already in place at our resort are designed to address a broad spectrum of viruses. Our cleaning protocols include everything from hand washing hygiene and cleaning product specifications to common area cleaning procedures. However, in response to the spread of COVID-19, our resort has increased and enhanced cleaning protocols for high frequency guest touchpoints and the common areas of our resort. As always, the safety and well-being of our owners, guests, and staff is our top priority.
We are implementing the following procedures until further notice: Elevators will be sanitized several times a day, as well as all common areas. All but one luggage cart to be sanitized and stored. The remaining luggage cart will be available in the office area for owner or guest use, and will be cleaned each time upon return to the office.
We have asked that the following areas be sanitized and closed until further notice: the upstairs clubhouse area to include Uno Mas, bathrooms, and gym; the bathrooms under the slides and the bathrooms on the walkway. The bathrooms in the lobby will remain open and cleaned frequently throughout the day.
All lounge chairs except a couple at each pool, to be cleaned and stored.
New sanitizing stations have been installed in the lobby, employee lunchroom, and security gate. All employees having any symptoms at all are asked to stay home.
The mayor of Puerto Penasco has instituted at 8pm curfew for all residents. The resort and LPR will be complying with the government decree and will be closing no later than 7pm so employees have ample time to return home.
We are working closely with our onsite operators and onsite rental company to ensure these procedures are implemented for the benefit all owners, guests, and onsite staff. Because of our amazing staff and owners, we will get through this difficult time and return to the busy and happening place we all love and enjoy!
